BoardingA thriving, caring boarding community . . .There is much in boarding life at the Choir School which resembles a family atmosphere and great care is taken to encourage a sense of belonging, openness and compassion. Our boarding is not an alternative to family life, but a partnership between home and school. A boarder has both - with his/her family during the holidays and perhaps weekends too. In our boarding community, the care, devotion and affection of residential staff is tempered by concern for all and fairness, rather than emotional attachment. Our boarding community is small enough to allow everyone to get to know one another, and big enough to afford the experience of a wide circle of friends.

Not a substitute for home, but . . . Our boarders are part of a wider society than a child at home and the variety within our community teaches much to anyone who is a part of it. Our boarders learn much about themselves and about living with others. Finding friends among one's peers is the beginning of an appreciation of a deeper identity between people and of knowing genuine unselfishness - a theme we promote wholeheartedly. Having a healthy respect for others and learning to see the world through many eyes makes our boarders the most precious of our resources. . . . a 'home from home'
